Award-winning Project! – Isambard AI

We’re proud to have played a small part in delivering the Isambard-AI Supercomputer Facility for the University of Bristol — which picked up the ‘Modern Methods of Construction Award’ at the 2025 Constructing Excellence South West Awards!

Following the sudden demise of Clarke Bond Structural Engineering last Christmas, we were brought in late in the programme to provide structural input and help the site team get the project across the line. While our involvement was limited, it’s been a privilege to support the delivery of such a nationally significant facility.

Now home to the UK’s most powerful supercomputer and the second greenest in the world — the facility was delivered at unprecedented speed.

Modular in design, and built using a highly collaborative approach across the project team, this new data centre is already contributing to world-leading research in clean energy, cancer diagnosis, and AI safety – A truly remarkable project to be part of.
