Celebrating a successful few months at Skeletal Consulting Engineers

This week, the team got together for lunch to celebrate what has been a fantastic few months for the business. Alongside welcoming Ben, Clare and Rif to the team, we’ve also celebrated a number of significant milestones and project wins, including:
- Rif’s graduation from the University of Bristol – congratulations to Rif on completing his Civil Engineering degree. We’re incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication he has shown throughout his studies, and it’s been fantastic to see him achieve this important milestone.
- Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex – appointed to provide structural engineering design services for the refurbishment and remodelling of the Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex.
- Animal Trust, Sheffield – now on site, we’re delivering the civil and structural engineering design for a new single-storey, steel-framed veterinary practice for the not-for-profit community interest company.
- University of Reading, Great Hall – appointed to provide structural engineering services for the refurbishment of the Grade II listed roof, including back-analysis of the existing ground floor structure to support temporary scaffolding loads.
- Bristol Royal Infirmary and Royal Hospital for Children, Children and Young People’s (CYP) Theatres – delivering structural and civil engineering design services for the project that will provide a 6-bed Medical Assessment Unit, a day-case ward with 16 bays and 4 cubicles, and two additional CYP operating theatres with associated support accommodation in converted spaces within the existing BRI and BRHC buildings.
- Abbots Leigh, Bristol – now on site, we’re providing structural and civil engineering design for a striking new hillside home adjacent to Clifton Suspension Bridge. The project includes a large steel-framed dwelling, a subterranean reinforced concrete annexe with a contiguous piled retaining wall, and careful coordination of drainage and external works across the challenging sloping site.
It’s been an exciting period of growth, with new team members joining the business and projects progressing across the healthcare, education and leisure sectors.
A big thank you to our clients and project partners for their continued trust and support. We’re looking forward to seeing these projects develop over the coming months.
