Project Scope
Skeletal Consulting Engineers were appointed by Strongvox to provide structural engineering design services for their development of a small residential community at Flax Bourton, including the construction of various housing types providing 11 units of accommodation and associated infrastructure.

Structural Elements:
Sub-structure Design: Provided foundation designs for all plots, including garages. Where plots required piling, provided the piling and ground beam layouts with associated reinforced concrete detail drawings and bar bending schedules.
Structural Design: Included the design of monolithic precast planks with upstand sections supporting external masonry and terraces. Designed steelwork for roof beams, chimney supports, and other structural components and also designed steel to steel connections and baseplate details for each of the three house types.
Technical Notes: Provided detailed technical notes on the design of solid precast planks with upstand sections and other structural elements
