Site Progress Update — Halcyon, Flax Bourton

It’s great to see progress on site at the Halcyon development for Strongvox Limited Homes in hashtag#FlaxBourton.

This high-end residential scheme will deliver eight large, detached “mansion-style” four- and five-bedroom homes with open-plan layouts — alongside three affordable terraced houses. Each of the detached homes includes a large, two-storey double garage. The site enjoys spectacular countryside views, which the rear terraces of the homes have been designed to take full advantage of.

Skeletal provided full structural design services for the homes, garages, retaining walls and foundations, including:
– Loadbearing masonry superstructures
– Precast concrete planks forming upper floors
– Steel framing in key areas to achieve open-plan layouts and form large rear terraces
– Prefabricated roof trusses to simplify roof construction
– Foundations comprising a mix of traditional strip footings and piled solutions
– Retaining wall design advice — with final design and supply provided by Tobermore.
